I know I know. This is Sony. The GAMERZ FIRST company. The possibility that they were going to make a $40 profit on every PS Eye just doesn't compute right????

In the end, they dropped it so it was a good move regardless.

Geez how inferior is this thing compared to a kinect? People make it seem like a redesigned PS2 Eyetoy given how low it costs.

I'm glad they didn't but this way PS4 and PS eye is still cheaper than Xbox One, which is where Playstation ultimately has the edge

Microsoft should probably introduce a X1 bundle without kinect around the time of launch, that way people who don't want kinect will get their X1 cheaper and enough bundles including kinect will be sold to guarantee every third party developers will have some sort of kinect support in their games.

Also, the bill of parts was just a bit over 400, and the Sony rep said "we won't be taking such significant losses as we did with the ps3". The implication was that they WOULD be taking losses, but just a small one. If they had planned for 500$ they would have been making profit, not loss.

Again, article is false, unnamed sources, no confirmation from retailers, etc. Fake article to get hits, nothing more.

Edge was correct after all... the console policies are similiar now lol lol lol but Sony didn't change nothing in their part.
