Forums - Nintendo - *chuckle* SEGA has a pretty comedic ad for Yakuza Collection

Maybe we should wait for Mr Khan to translate it? haha, he has a better grasp on Japanese than I do.

Please translate it for the west. I loved Yakuza 4. Might try and find a copy of Yakuza 3 in the mean time.

ASAP! da hell is wrong with you!?

what do you mean what's wrong with me?

He's moreso saying why couldn't you infer what was happening. He was playing game, and then his daughter wanted to watch TV. Pushed it to GamePad. Then wife left and so he went to the hostess club in the game (only real equivalent in a strip club without the striping). She then snuck up on him later and caught him romancing one of the hostesses. It was a joke.

And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

I just want to play the game with English subtitles just like i could with Yakuza 4. I don't really care too much about the ad. It was funny though

I understood bits and part of it. The beginning the daughter wanted to watch Anime (as you probably could see and hear). He then started playing on the gamepad only, the wife (mama) left, as she was leaving I think she told him he was only playing video games and probably gave him some kind of warning given his reaction (it's alright/everything's okay/etc.).
Probably he forgot to pay the electric bills or something? I probably should play closer attention, something about his wallet.

yeah, the core of the humor that you can't understand just from seeing what happens seems to come from what specifically she warned him about.

I'd have to watch that one a couple more times...

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

we need more advertisement like this in the US and UK lol

i think I understood most of what they said.

Basically the girl said that she wanted to watch anime and the father was like it's all cool. He then starts playing on his tablet. The wife says she's gonna go out to do shopping. She tells him not to just play games and to actually look after their daughter "Haruka". The dude then starts playing the dating sim aspect and says to the character "Jun-chan" that it's been a long while that they met (in-game) and badmouths his wife calling her annoying, which means he's been doing this whenever his wife leaves home. Then his wife comes back because she left her purse (or something else) and the rest is pretty much self explanatory lol.

Oh, okay.  So basically the "saifu" part is her purse.  I did feel like she caught him doing something, but I wasn't exactly sure what he was saying.   He did kind of say that Jun-chan was #1 or something (need to rewatch that part).

Yeah lol he does call her "Ichiban", which roughly means first, or the best. So yeah he's calling Jun-chan better than his wife lol. Then he says that since the annoying person has left, he can finally meet her. And yeah the saifu basically means wallet, so in her case it's a purse.

That said though, I don't think you need to understand what they are saying it to get the humour. But understanding some of the things he says to Jun-chan in game is kind of hilarious, especially since he gets caught badmouthing his wife. I thought it was funny in a funny way, not funny in the crazy absurd japanese commercials that end up on youtube way. I remember one where a woman gives birth to a horse iirc. Yeah...I've seen some ridiculous Japanese adverts and am glad this isn't one of those.
