It did work for Sega, they were posting losses for years until they went third party.

              Sega was in financial problems way before that. Nintendo has money to survive another 5 or 6 generations.

The point is Sega lost money with Saturn and Dreamcast then they returned to profit when they went third party. I know Nintendo will continue releasing the Nintendo experience delivery box I just think that going third party is a way of selling millions of software.
