The term cloud is misunderstood. Cloud just means servers available online.
Its what is set up for those servers to do that is the differnce.
Sony don have servers set up for processing data to enhanc a machine. Thereservers are used for playing PS3 titles on PS4. As in completely rendered in thecloudand streamed to play like Steam can do.
Microsofts Cloud is set up for processing data and sending that back to th machine, freeing up memory ad CPU tasks. Things like AI, Physics etc. Not necessarily display processes. But that still means Microsoft has more local memory on the console to use for Graphics. Etc.
Theres a great article Im just trying to find that shows just what Cloud means for Sony/Microsoft.
But cloud is just that. Servers.

I havent misunderstood the term cloud ;)
What i have said is that this infinite power is BS. Plain and simple.
Ok it has been about 15 years since i worked in IT.. but the concepts from them are the same now, nothing has actually changed. I used to be a cluster engineer/microsoft certified systems engineer +I (internet), and a Citrix Certified Systems Administrator. The technology is not much different from then, online datacenters/processing centers/cluster and blade farms.
The cloud is just a buzz word, but Both Sony/MS have access to this cloud computing tech.. it's not special or unusual, its pretty standard stuff...though MS have the cash and ability to install more kit than sony just because its using its hardware to support Windows Office and other tech... which other sides of the business need (and already have).
But it doesnt matter how much tech you install, it wont make a difference to the single player experience...and certainly wont make a less powerful console more powerful than a more powerful one. For example, could the wii-u use the cloud, yes definately. Will it make the wii-u infinitely more powerful than the PS4/XboxOne... no.
