Forums - Nintendo - Could MK8, Bayo2 and X run on a PS3[60]

could they?

maybe two of them could 41 4.76%

If The Witcher 2 could be ported to Xbox 360, I don't see why not Bayo2, X and MK8 too.

So far, it seems that WiiU's GPU is 10.1 equivalent with some things from DX11 thrown in into its API (this was actually hinted quite a while ago in those articles about Unity 3D on WiiU).

Also, this http://nintendoeverything.com/125742/kingdom-hearts-iii-all-but-ruled-out-for-wii-u/

might be SE bollocks not to support WiiU, but it seems they are not the first one to state that.

Still, when publishers decide not to port to WiiU and to port to PS360, it's obvious it's nothing but a business decision.

As for difference in power - I honestly encourage you to go and look at benchmarks and/or 3D Mark GPU scores of 4650/5550 GDDR3 (though former seems more and more likely) vs 7850/7870 and decide for yourself is that a big difference or not.

Few years ago, those rumors of 4850 equivalent GPU inside looked very promising...really wish they've come true.

so far, it's confirmed wii u has DX11 equivalent.

oh, the link that talks about a magic interview that cannot be found anywhere, where supposedely was said KH3 wouldn't come to wii u but only mentions KH3 using DX11, no word about coming to wii u or not.

And how exactly comparing a gpu that isn't the one in the wii u vs another gpu that isn't the one on Ps4/Xone going to add to this conversation?

i'm sorry i didn;t read the digital foundry anyalisis of bayonetta 2, i heard impressions from neogaf that it the frame rate dips often.

An E3 demo that wasn't a finished, polishd product. imagine that.

That's obviously not what the thread title is asking. The answer is so obvious it doesn't need to be asked if downgrades are allowed, in that case you could run anything on almost anything. PS2 could run The Last of Us if you cut it down enough.

If that's what thread title is asking than its not worded properly. Go make a new thread so you get the exact answer you want.

Your Last of Us example is stupid because the specs between PS2 and PS3 are extremely different.

If the Wii U is so incredibly powerful I'm surprised the ports it received don't perform at 60fps and 1080p.

Just because the raw power might be there to use, doesn't mean every developer is going to use it. Just ask PS3.

I think saying "yes" or "no" solely on the basis of trailers/demo footage is highly dubious. Pre-release footage can vary WILDLY from the finished product, in both the negative and positive direction.

In short, just wait. Debating it at this point is a waste of time.

Nintendo generally doesn't go in for bullshots (has Nintendo ever been caught in a bullshot in the last 13 years?), so i can imagine that we can take these at face value, or that any changes in the future will be for the better.

My PS3 isn't responding.

Not that I'm certain what PS3's full potential is. Even its best looking games are at par with 360 games. In presentation, frame rate, and resolution.

True, just take a look at pikmin 3 and W101 early trailers. lots of advancements can be seen, specially on W101.

It's a simple matter of the higher denominator. Nintendo showed wii u can run amazing looking games at 1080p 60fps and that proves that ps360 ports not performing much better is not because of lacking hardware.
