So....more Halo's. Just what the One needs.

Who in their right mind in this world would put a franschise that sells at least 8-10m per game on ice?? It's like Nintendo would just suddenly stop doing Mario games or Sony stopping GT games

How often does Sony release a GT game? Mario is a trademark in a lot of differenct franchises, but how often do those respective franchises see new iterations? It's been about 6 years since the last Mario Kart, 2 since the last 3D Mario Platformer (this is a bit milked too nowadays, it wasn't so much before), 19 years since the last console Yoshi game (not sure if Mario is in this one), etc.

I liked when MS published Halo Wars and tried something different. I wish Halo FPS's weren't almost annual iterations. Halo will do good for the console, but I would like to see another major franchise on the One. Mind you, I wasn't impressed with Sony either, Nintendo was the only one to announce a few major franchises (6 franchises which have sold between 5-30 million units in the past).

I don't quite understand how a saga is different.

Does this mean they'll keep making titles until they feel they're done?

Black tusk comes to mind ;)

I understand that you don't like seeing games from the same franschise every year- I can relate to that - but it is after all a side-story if we go by the talk about the saga. I don't consider ODST and Wars as parts of the main Halo because they are clearly other types of games. As long as I don't see the main story of halo every year then I am cool with it.

I should add that I don't think we will see Halo 5 next year but that is just my guess based on the history timeframes they have had

2001-2004-2007-2010-2012-2015 The only reason I think they could get out halo 4 in such a small timeframe than every other halo is because it was a new studio(2007) and it had a lot more time to develop it.

Dat milking of a dead franchise! :D

LOL. I love that dead franchise.

I just kinda wish they would go with a new story in the Same universe, I mean i love masterchief and all but seriously it is a huge universe that they could do so much with. They made a noble try with ODST but in my eyes that game was crap and I was severely let down, I just want them to expand on the universe and show us what happens on the other ends of the story.

We don't even have a name for the Black Tusk game, and from what it appears to be, it's another shooter. That's equivalent to Nintendo releasing a 2D Mario Platformer one year, and a 2D Yoshi platformer the very next year.

If the next main Halo is 2015, then that's fine. Every 3 years is okay, but I still cosider FPS's like ODST part of Halo, so I don't really want to see "filler" games in between main Halo Games. Wars was legitimately different and appreciated.
