Ok guys lets not bring down MS efforts they are steping it up with letting you keep the game forever thats great, right now I see PLus and Gold almost the same.
What happened at M$? Did they secretly kill Ballmer and replaced him with a benevolent and prodigal clone?

Yes. I absolutely agree here.
The only reason I had PS+ for 3 months, well 6 months because of auto-renew, was because they were offering so many games I had yet to play that interested me for that particular period.
There is no reason to trump up the offerings of either service.
