Check somewhere else before Steam, especially with The Witcher games, as places like GoG or Amazon have them without DRM.

They also deal in dollars instead of euro's, when Steam had their last Witcher offers, they had the same figure in dollars on GOG, that can save you a lot of money if you live outside the US as the currency difference is pretty big.

And, yes, GOG versions are always DRM free.

talking about the Witcher.. Witcher 2 is on sale at GOG.com $5.99 as part of their summer sale

Oh shit! That is a craaaaaaaaazy deal! I got Torchlight for free last night!

Love me some Good Old Games!

Wow, thanks for so many quick responses. I started writing on the Ipad and now i see the formating is all crappy. Gonna fix it now.

How do you wanna play them? from awesome to most awesome or the other way around?

LOL, cool one there! Seems like i made great choices along the way. Maybe the other way around, for momentum :)

The Witcher games, especially the second one, are easily the best on that list.

The first Dragon Age (Origins) is very good as well and Deus Ex: Human Revolution is terrific.

Dark Souls is hard as f***, Mass Effect 1 has massive sidequest and loading time issues, strange visuals and annoying voice acting and the sequel is pretty much a cover-based 3rd person shooter with watered down RPG elements and a run-of-the mill sci-fi plot (continued).

Never played KOTOR games.

Out of those, I'd say The Witcher 1 and 2, followed by Deus Ex and Dragon Age for a tie. One could argue that Deus Ex is just as action oriented as Mass Effect 2 but then again, it never pretended otherwise.

I may put the 2 Witchers before Dark Souls, but I like my games to be hard.

I live in Brazil, where a new game can easily cost more than a hundred dollars. 2 months ago, I got into Steam and saw they convert their prices to our currency, which is absolutely amazing. Otherwise I would prefer no DRM physical copies.

I wish they came to Brazil as Steam did.

Great list, KOTOR is my favorite of those, though some more modern gamers find its mechanics clunky.

DA is pretty safe bet if you like more or less standard old-schoolish cRPGs.

The Bioware games are amazing, altough Mass Effec 2 and 3 are kinda shooter heavy but the universe is worht expiriencing. Just keep in mind Kotor is more then 10 years old. Witcher 2 is fantastic-

I would recommend Mass Effect most.

@ Holo and Andrew: thanks. I paid about 3 bucks for each copy of Knights so I decided to get them even if they are somewhat dated.

The Witcher is pretty damn hard, especially on the higher difficulties.
