Forums - Microsoft - Why I Pre-ordered Xbox One

1. Games

2. Price isn't that high

  • Perhaps more pertinently, when you compare the price of other consumer electronics, the Xbox One doesn't seem quite so stratospheric.
  • A 16GB wifi-only iPad cost £429 ($500).
  • The question is whether you think you will get £429 worth of use from owning an Xbox One. I do.

3. Kinect Will be good

  • The presence of Kinect is one of the reasons for high price.
  • Bundeling Kinect guarantees a fixed target for developers to aim at, all users will have the same component parts.

4. Xbox Live

  •  Xbox Live has been the more attractive, more robust, more fully featured of the two main online services.
  • icrosoft will be launching "http://majornelson.com/2013/06/11/xbox-one-smart-match/">Smart Match" with Xbox One, new tech which will theoretically find suitable matches for you while you're doing other things.

5. It doesn't Matter Who Will Win

  • My favourite machine of the generation before this was the GameCube.
  • Competition drives gaming on to create better conten.

6. Things could change

Why I pre-ordered both?

1. I work and have the money. BOOM!
2. Do not want miss out on the gamezzzzz.

Things already changed!

Thinks changed quickly enjoy your X1. Also what games are you getting for it.

Yeah I cancelled my pre order of the PS4 and pre ordered the Xbox One. I loved the games that MS showed at E3 but refused to buy one due to DRM etc.... but now that it's been dropped I'm going to be getting an Xbox One now.

Indeed there are good reasons now that those reasons are no longer behind a retardedpolicywall.
