It was established way back in 2007 that the reason why they score so lowly in these surveys is because they don't answer them, and yet we still get this now.

besides.... who wouldn't want to be a slave of Nintendo?
“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”
- George Orwell, ‘1984’
I really think people are making this a way bigger deal than it is. This is under the ASSUMPTION that Nintendo is doing it JUST because they didn't answer. That's like saying "did you kill this man from Georgia?" and I may have been to Georgia once, but I decide not to answer. Then I get arrested for murder.
First Ive heard on this for, well, 6 years. I sincerely doubt they use slave labour, but well clarification is nice. Does every large company have to say they don't use slave labour, however? I would assume (and hope) it went without saying...
Nintendo simply doesn't respond to these surveys.
It's just like Nintendo's issues with Greenpeace: Nintendo is a very secretive organization, and aren't transparent about where they get materials. This does not necessarily mean they're using DRC rare earth metals

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

yup
Thank goodness for people in this world with nothing better to do with their time than stuff like this. /facepalm
like ninty buys the stuff direct from the ground and manufactures the electronics start to finish in house. If they want to hold someone on trial for the issue they are representing, why don't they target the companies that use slave labor to mine the stuff? makes too much sense??? Hell, why don't they take this just one crazy step further and come out and say its the consumer's fault. I mean, really, the consumers are the ultimate evil doers in all of this aren't we? Desiring these products that may use compounds begotten by slave labor? Heck, blame me personally
If Nintendo never answered the other groups, what makes them think they will get an answer?
Its pretty obvious Nintendo just ignores these types of requests. Regardless if they do or do not operate green/slave free/etc.
people have way too much time on their hands. i wonder what it would be like if these chodes did something useful with a real productive job.

Oh crap slavery ended already!?
