It would be neglected on Nintendos platforms and they wouldn't know what to do with it... Sly actually has personality unlike Mario, Link, DK, Luigi, Kirby ect ect...

Luigi, Link, Kirby and DK dont have personality? Im guessing you havent played either luigi's mansion games, any Donkey kong game, Kirby's epic yarn or Skyward sword. Just because they dont talk much doesnt mean they dont have personality.

Ive played plenty of DK games... DKC on the SNES was my favorite.... same game play as any mario 3. I played Majoras Mask, Twilight Princess, Ocarina of Time, The Legend of Zelda, Links Awakening, and more... one game doesn't make the rule. And I doubt if I played it I would think he had personality

Words alone dont define personality.

You should really watch this.

And I wish Zelda was a Sony IP

For the record, I think Sony is doing a fine job with Sly, I just think Nintendo would have no problem with the IP if they were to make a game.

I would love that Sly would be a Nintendo IP, but I know and already accepted that shall not happen!

Mario characters has no charm or personalities? I can understand for Mario, but Luigi, Peach, Bowser, Bowser Jr. Waluigi, Hell even back in Mario Party 3 defined the spunky, upbeat playful and a dash of seductive Daisy comes to mind...

Don't get m started on the DK franchise (which I'm slowly warming up to).

Zelda is my favorite Nintendo game.... but if Santa Monica were to make a Zelda I would  buy it in a second to see how bad ass link could be.... then i would immediatly force Sony to return it and never look back

The guy who makes those clips is definatly pretentious. But no, words alone don't define personality... or that would mean mute/def people would have no personality. However, when the main protanginst has very little (to no) interaction with any story or characters (other than being told what to do) then you can't really argue about personality... When you hit a button to jump because the character does a twist while jumping doesn't give the character personality

Should I just say the word "personality"? My apologies for adding something that wasn't meant to be used... -_-'

I think people are confusing Nintendo characters having good personality with just being well known characters that people like.  Domesticated animals have more entertaining personalities than a Nintendo character.  I'm not kidding.  But Nintendo games have never really been about having a good story so that's the reason.  It's always about the gameplay.

I like Sony and Nintendo, but I like a lot more characters from Sony games over characters from Nintendo games just because of this.  I like Nintendo characters based on them being from a lot of great games, while I like Sony characters even if I only like one game, a character can still make a good impression.  On the PS3 but not a Sony game, only using this as an example of a game I don't like, I didn't like Hyperdimension Neptunia Mk2, but I really liked IF as a character.  I actually purchased and use IF as my PSN avatar.

Yea, im sure if you played Skyward Sword and see how Link and Zelda  interact with each other then you'd understand. Hell, Links Awakening is a journey through Links dream and personality.
