Greenwich is Greenwich, so having GMT not going through the UK is unusual. Everyone else is GMT+/- some time, so that doesn't change. But we go from GMT to a completely different time. Being GMT+0 for half of the year is tricky, and so whenever I see GMT I just assume its UK time.

But yeah I use GMT in the thread title so that people from other countries in Europe can quickly situate themselves.

A lot of countries uses timezone changes like UK, US (not all states), Canada, Brazil, etc... it's common to change the timezone in Summer or Winter
