maybe... but at least the other companies are also coming out with new ips also in addition to newer installments to older franchises


This comment actually shows how little people know about Nintendo as well as how selective people's arguments are as they released 9 new Ips recently, Takt, Pandora's Tower, The Last Story, Xenoblade, Wii series, Soma Bringer, Dynamic Zan, Hana Samurai and Harmoknight. The upcoming game X may also be a new IP as it's not even said to be from any franchise.

Ninendo games are like what I've said. Regardless they may have good gameplay, but I wouldn't be bothered to find out.


By saying that, you are proving yourself to be as close-minded as you claimed he was for "not trying out" what you refer to as "mature" games (Which in all honesty, I'm sure he has). Generalizing is generalizing though. Some "realistic" games can certainly be good fun. The problem is, that too many western developers seem to just be pumping out different versions of the same shit these days, and it gets kind of old.

 

But to each their own.

MS has very little chance of doing that. At the very least, they have opened the door for Sony (and a little Nintendo) to take a decent part of the market by default.

I voted for Sony in the poll. It says "Who is Microsoft aiming to take out this gen" They likely want to take out Sony. Will it happen? No.

Sony has the clear advantage over Microsoft because of the cheaper price. Microsoft has also pissed a lot of gamers off, so many will choose PS4 instead. You claim that they are going after the casual market. With a $500 starting price, it's unlikely to work. Even if XBox One outsells it, Sony won't be taken out of he business.

As for Nintendo? The 3DS is going to be big enough to keep Nintendo in the business regardless of how bad Wii U fails, so it doesn't matter. Plus, Wii U will likely sell at least GC levels which will make it profitable for Nintendo.

Nintendo has enough big series to sell Wii U without 3rd parties as well.

I'll admit, I thought Microsoft possibly had a chance to take Sony out for good but the XBOne certainly won't do it.

The wii was selling like hot cake for 4years and it didn't take Sony or Microsoft out of the market according to pre-orders right now the Ps4 is the one that seems that will have the best launch. The X1 is limiting its possible user base with all the DRM they included so no I don't see how the X1 could take nintendo or Sony out



Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.
