I think Micrsoft has a chance to take Sony and Nintendo out this coming gen.

I voted for Sony in the poll. It says "Who is Microsoft aiming to take out this gen" They likely want to take out Sony. Will it happen? No.

Sony has the clear advantage over Microsoft because of the cheaper price. Microsoft has also pissed a lot of gamers off, so many will choose PS4 instead. You claim that they are going after the casual market. With a $500 starting price, it's unlikely to work. Even if XBox One outsells it, Sony won't be taken out of he business.

As for Nintendo? The 3DS is going to be big enough to keep Nintendo in the business regardless of how bad Wii U fails, so it doesn't matter. Plus, Wii U will likely sell at least GC levels which will make it profitable for Nintendo.

Nintendo has enough big series to sell Wii U without 3rd parties as well.

I'll admit, I thought Microsoft possibly had a chance to take Sony out for good but the XBOne certainly won't do it.
