guys please stop calling Xbox One...Xbone...it makes you guys look silly.  Seriously!!!

All around the industry it is called the XBone. I am sure you can find quotes where devs have even referred to it as such.

Nintendo already went another route, they don't care.
Sony is the one who is still going most the pure gaming machine route.
MS is going for entertainment box, they will still get many people onto the boat with kinect and stuff, but gamers will wait for big exclusives. If they wait at all it is.

You could say that MS is battling at two fronts against Sony and maybe Apple. They already lost one front, but not these two wars ;)

No, that would be Nintendo.

Mario and Zelda don't make up 'pure gaming', neither does the gamepad. Next gen hardware and lots of varied games do.

Games make up gaming. And every Nintendo console from NES to Gamecube to Wii to Wii U has always been purely about games.

And what games exactly? Super Mario, NSMB, Mario Kart, Mario Tennis, Mario 3D, Mario Galaxy, Zelda, SSB, etc. Rinse and repeat. Nothing new or mature. Maybe they should try to make something aimed at the adult market for a change. Perhaps stop with all the Mario's as well.

So adult market or whatever type of games you like is "pure gaming"? Grow up.

I LOVE ICELAND!

I ask my question again. To OP and everyone who is trying to link the Xbone to disruption. In case you missed it.

Pure gaming is a mixture of kid, teen and adult games. Sony has all of these.

And perhaps you need to grow up and play games with great stories and brutal action too. My hatred of immature stuff doesn't necessitate the need for me to grow up.

I think Microsoft has a chance to take Sony and Nintendo out this coming gen.  Just my 2 cents with how M$ is going a totally diffrent approach to gaming; which can dissrupt both Sony and Nintendo's future plans.  Discuss.

No offense...................but how could you possibly come up with that conclusion using deductive reasoning?

The only "different direction" MS is going in, is telling their consumers what they can and can't do with their own bought-and-paid-for products, how they can play, etc. etc. They're dictating the customer what their gaming experiences are going to be, not giving the customer options. How in the WORLD could that possibly lead to them "taking out" Nintendo or Sony? Nintendo is more open policy to gamers and developers (especially indie devs) than they EVER have been. They support ZERO DRM policies, and require zero mandatory online. Sony doesn't have an ENFORCED DRM policy, but will allow publishers to use it at their discretion, and also (as of this time) have an "always online" type policy for the PS4.

The point is, both are more inviting and friendly towards the customer/IE the gamer, whereas Microsoft is telling customers that if they want to own their system, they're going to have to play by their rules. Kind of bullshit.

So again, where in any of that does it spell out Nintendo or Sony "going down" to MS?

Pure gaming is good games, regardless of who likes them.

Bold part makes me confident that you are the one who needs to grow up. I don't even have to comment on it, it speaks for itself.

I love how the op didn't like how is poll turned out so anti-microsoft and wants it removed. Hilarious.

Judging by the poll I would say this thread backfired.

I'm already 21 and growing by the day. Simply disliking Nintendo doesn't necessitate me to grow up. Neither does liking games with intriging storylines and brutal action. Maybe you should step out of the world of Mario and Pokemon and see for yourself.
