Go to the piratebay check the PS3 library and check the xbox 360 library see the seeders and leachers you'll see a huge difference, also for the ripping of games you don't just copy paste the shit from the original blueray to your copied blueray it won't work, because much of them include a newer version of the firmware that doens't support the hacks outhere. also for your statement that's only apply for the ps2 and psp.

You really underestimate the power of hackers.

Don't you think they update their hacking software after each PS3 sofware update?

I travel constantly and firnds ask me to let them borrow games.

No what the fuck, it takes for ever to get a new version of an hack and if you accidently patch your console while it's hack using a third party hardware in it you'll just brick it. The level of heck on the Ps3 is so low you can just google it and it doesn't make the list.

''Well, now TorrentFreak has listed its top five most pirated games of the year, across three platforms. PC, Wii and Xbox 360? Why no PS3? “The platforms that are not mentioned, such as the PS3, get considerably less downloads and are excluded for that reason.” I’m sure someone will take that as a challenge, but a) Sony’s been very aggressive, to the point of cutting off some of the PS3′s functionality, to combat piracy. And b) those are damn large games on that Blu-Ray disc.''

That's what they can track.

I'll advise you to take a tour to countries where there are videogame cafes and scarce game stores.

People that can't tell you what Halo is but could tell you every game feature changed in the PES series.

I don't put to much weight in anecdotal evidance, you can see real data in the link I provide. also pes is available on the ps2 so they might be talking about that version. peace

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

If you really think that the existence videogame cafes( just like cyber cafes) is anecdotal, then we should rest our cases here.

I wouldn't be surprised. I did notice a couple of their twitter accounts tweeted against the Xbox One.

Link?

Here is one:

There were others, but I can't remember when.

Is that legit or a fan-made account?

(Yes, I know the whole "anyone can be anonymous" thing! )

how does the existance of  videogames cafes proves the ps3 is more hacked than the 360?

Linking a Kotaku article as a written fact is effectly the same as quoting writings on the wall of a public toilet. You want evidance of how easy it is to hack a ps3 and get it's games copied, afraid most of that info infringes pretty badly on this forums rules. Suffice to say it is perfectly simple to rip all the info from a blu ray and dump it to a HDD, you never have to burn it to another disk akin to magic swap on the ps2, can run all the games perfectly from the ps3's own HDD.

The data was from torrent freak one of the biggest torrent site on the Internet so yeah it's a bit better than public toilet. A lot of Ps3 games come with patch newer than the 3.55 included in the disk, which is the one that works with the hacked on Ps3, what do you do then?

Why would they attack already? If they wait until the X1 launch they could cripple the system before it gets off the ground.

That would effect consumers, the people they try to protect!

Did Sony fans like it when PSN got taken down? Hell no. They're better off making a stand now.

Yeah, but it would cause a hell of a lot more uproar regarding how terrible the 24 hour check in thing is when say 2 weeks after launch their checkin servers are DDoS'd to death, 24 hours later everyone who thought the X1 was a good safe investment has a brick under their TV until the servers come back, it would push consumers to demand the 24hour checkin is changed to something less rediculous.

Torrent Freak

Alexa rank 4,139 (April 2013)

One of the biggest torrent sites? Like I said Kotaku might refer to it as one of the biggest in their article, it isn't, the biggest ones do not track everything which is downloaded from them, because doing that makes them bad places to get torrents.

edit - regarding what to do to run the newer games on a hacked ps3, you are asking for a tutorial on how to pirate games on here, which like I said is against the rules of these forums. Google knows best.

My bad they compiled the data from the biggest torrent sites on the Internet and as you can see the PS3 is not even include because the numbers are so low compared to the pc, wii and 360

Install a more recent CFW. There are several ways to play current PS3-games on hacked PS3s.

See here:

"Working great on Rogero 4.40 v1.03 and multiMAN 4.40." or "no , you need to download the 3.55 ebootfix by duplex"
