Forums - Nintendo - [Quick Question?] Should I buy Animal Crossing: New Leaf Digital or Retail?

I heard Nintendo just made a shit load of money off the digital version of the game with in the week. Even Iwata suggest the digital version, what do you think and how much block do it take up, I have a 4 gig in my 3DS.

Don’t follow the hype, follow the games

I always try to buy my games at retail if they are the same or close to the same as the digital price. Just in case if I lose my 3DS or it gets stolen, I will still have the game.

I bought mine at retail because I don't really want to fill up my 3DS' space. Also, I plan on buying a 3DS XL sometimes soon and I don't feel like transferring anything over.

Edit: I always suggest retail.

I was recommended buying the digital version because it is a game you are going to check in on daily for the forseeable future

I buy most games retail, but I recommend digital for AC since it's a game you'll be checking in with several times a day in between lengthier sessions of another game.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

I picked mine up retail

Retail by miles away. You can always trade in the game for something after your done with it and plus losing your 3ds with all your game on it gotta be the worst thing ever... Plus I don't feel confortable with Nintendo being to at ease with digital cause then they often put only a limited quantity of stock like it was the case for Fire Emblem. The no restock thing really pissed me off. But yeah on the other hand some people get really annoyd by having to switch games...

Always retail for me.

My internet is as fast as a sloth and I like to have the box to look at too.

I believe the game size is about 1 gig.

I also suggest retail (I am a collector + you can use it on more than 1 3DS + you get a code to participate in the SO MANY GAMES promotion) but I got it digital with the SO MANY GAMES promotion. And because I thought this game is a nice game to play for just a few minutes each I chose it as the FREE game.

I got "6" retail games and got 2 for free. (well actually 4 for free thanks to the German Amazon promotion  buy 3 pay for 2)
The other FREE game is Lego City since Nintendo games keep their value alot longer than third party games and LC being an open world game with alot of little things to do, I thought that it would be a wise decision to get it as the second free game.

Got DKCR3D, Castlevania, FireEmblem, Luigi's Mansion, MonsterHunter3 and a friend gave me his Pokemon Mystery Dungeon code.

I consider myself collector, so retail.

But when the time comes, that game could fetch you some mighty pennies! ;)
