nope coz ps4 isnt backwards compatible.however there will be ps+ IGC on PS4 from launch day (although its a slow trickle of mostly indie games)

See this is what confuses me is the online store when the ps4 launches gonna be a completly different setup from the current ps3 one or what.

I'm guessing stylistically the PS3 store is a beta for the PS4 store, but for content, yes the PS4 will be much different. There will probably be sections for PS Vita like on PS3, since PS3 is used as a storage hub for Vita games. PS3 games won't play on the PS4, so expect those not to be there unless some devs port their titles over. Some might do cross buy so you'd be able to play them on PS4, but who knows.

There will still be the movie and tv show content on the PS4 store and all PS4 games will be available day one of their release, just like on Vita.

Some people confuse PSN titles, thinking they aren't exactly like PS3 physical titles. They are. They are developed on PS3 hardware meaning they can't just easily be put on another system.

No, all those games are PS3 games, made for the PS3's hardware. Hold on to your PS3 as the PS4 isn't backwards compatible. Gaikai will allow for game streaming of PS3 games, but to what extent we don't know. We will find out in 2014 when that launches.

What we don't know is if PSone and PS2 games will play on PS4. Those are done through emulators so I expect those to work. They also might be part of Gaikai too, but that depends on how good your internet connection is so I hope they have downloadable versions and not just cloud.

Now, some developers might create ports of PS3 games to PS4, especially smaller PSN titles. But since they will cost them money there is good change they aren't going to be cross buy. Or at least not all of them. Limbo recently launched on Vita and that is cross buy, very cool of them to do that.

I see thats a shame guess im gonna have to hold onto my ps3 after the launch for a minute instead of trading it in towards the ps4 oh well its only 399 and i already have a hundrend down for the preorder from gamestop so that will be managable :)

I think all the Stores will be the same guys... the PC Store is equal to PS3 Store.

PS. I never saw the PSP/Vita Store but I can buy games on PS3 or PC for Vita.

A little off topic but how is sony going to market PS plus to people since its diff on the ps3 and the ps4. On ps3 multi is still free but on the ps4 it is now behind PS+ so isn't that going to get complicated?

No.

Plus will have games for PS3, Vita and PS4... I don't have a Vita but I receive the games for Vita via Plus... just don't have a device do play it.

The Plus and Store is the same for all.

Wat I ment was for Xbox live you have to have gold to play online for both 360 and x1. But with Sony PS+ multi is free on everything before the ps4. so how are they going to advertise say call of duty for both ps3 and the ps4 when one doesn't require + and the other one does

Yeah, maybe later when Gaikai launches we won't need our PS3's anymore. That will depend on:

-The quality of the service

-The internet speed required

-Whether it opens up your full digital library or the entire PS3 library

-The cost of Gaikai if it is a seperate pay service from PS Plus

-If you want physical games vs digital games tied to a server and not to a physical harddrive

Apparently Sony is still going to offer free to play online games which won't require PS+.  Apparently IGN Uk had an article on it.  I couldn't go to it cause when I clicked the link it just kicked me to the Canadian IGN site.

I think that was for free to play or mmo games getting the option to choose if there game is behind the PS +   but it still doesn't address how they will market a PS3 and 4 title

Yes, I just specifically responded to that since I was hoping someone would hunt down that IGN article for me XD.  About the marketting, it's all about Gaikai and we know nothing.  That's the missing piece of the puzzle, they haven't told us how Gaikai is going to work for BC.  Hell, I don't think they even have an emulator in place natively for the PS4 to run PS2 and PSX games.  Until we get more info on Gaikai I'll assume they just hide PS3 games since that's what the Vita does.
