Chark said: No, all those games are PS3 games, made for the PS3's hardware. Hold on to your PS3 as the PS4 isn't backwards compatible. Gaikai will allow for game streaming of PS3 games, but to what extent we don't know. We will find out in 2014 when that launches. What we don't know is if PSone and PS2 games will play on PS4. Those are done through emulators so I expect those to work. They also might be part of Gaikai too, but that depends on how good your internet connection is so I hope they have downloadable versions and not just cloud. Now, some developers might create ports of PS3 games to PS4, especially smaller PSN titles. But since they will cost them money there is good change they aren't going to be cross buy. Or at least not all of them. Limbo recently launched on Vita and that is cross buy, very cool of them to do that. |
I see thats a shame guess im gonna have to hold onto my ps3 after the launch for a minute instead of trading it in towards the ps4 oh well its only 399 and i already have a hundrend down for the preorder from gamestop so that will be managable :)

Yeah, maybe later when Gaikai launches we won't need our PS3's anymore. That will depend on:
-The quality of the service
-The internet speed required
-Whether it opens up your full digital library or the entire PS3 library
-The cost of Gaikai if it is a seperate pay service from PS Plus
-If you want physical games vs digital games tied to a server and not to a physical harddrive
