Forums - Nintendo - EA will resume Wii U support when it's 'a viable platform'

So...

Release a gimped version of Madden 3 several months too late.
Release Mass Effect 3 at 60 dollars while offering a trilogy collection for the same price (or was it less)?
Release Need For Speed Most Wanted about half a year late.
Act shocked and offended when games don't sell.

Maybe the results would have been the same either way, but they didn't even give the system a fighting chance.

Bit of a slap to the face considering they develop for the Vita.

I guess they don't like Nintendo. Vita isn't doing much better than Wii U and yet that has 4 games from EA already

Xbox Series, PS5 and Switch (+ Many Retro Consoles)

Prediction: Switch 2 will outsell the PS5 by 2030

Pertinent question is why did they get such horrific sales in the first place? I mean, the other third party Wii U launch games didn't do great by any stretch, but still well outdid EA's pathetic efforts, and why do you think that is?

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

ea is a bunch of idiots, double standards that is this obvious is only going to make there situation even worse for them in time. if u put in the time and effort into a port or original game it will sell regardless of the platform, which is something ea still hasnt learned after all this time on a nintendo platform.

At least this is better than them making stuff up about it being to weak to run Frosbyte 2. Fifa sales were dismal and the Vita version sold like 8X better, so that's why Vita gets a version. But EA delivered some pretty crappy products for Wii U so it's probably what they wanted. They want to push the other platforms, and will jump in if Wii U has an audience too big to ignore.

they totally fucked up on the Wii U launch list and they know it lol, they are just too fucking stubborn to admit it.

So when It outsells the XboxONE will they drop support for Microsoft's console?

I doubt we will see the mirror mode...

In EA's defence NFSMW was a good game, and I did buy it because it was available for download. I am not sad I did.

I tried the FIFA demo, and frankly it was a very bad port, frame rate issues, poor control scheme. I like soccer games and this was an easy sell to me, but bad game = no money from me.

Mass Effect would have been a purchase if they had released it on the EShop, but I am not hunting all over town to find a copy. If it shows up as a download, I will probably still buy it.

How big does EA think the launch market for XBone/PS4 will be? Surely these are not going to be huge markets in the first year. (It looks like PS4 might be bigger than XBone) Even if the launches go amazing, they will be a tenth the size of the PS360 market.

When there is enough suckers to purchase our sports games that we barely update on Nintendo platforms.
