Forums - Nintendo - Iwata: More unannounced third party titles will come.

"It is not my position to mention which titles each third-party developer will release in the future. However more unannounced titles will come."

This strengthens the notion that devs are  just waiting for Wii U to sell units, which is understandable.

What games would you like to see announced?

Personally I would like to see Ubisoft bring The Division to Wii U and Zombiu2 hopefully will remain an exclusive.

He's probably referring to exclusive games like ZombiU, Sonic Lost Worlds and cross overs like SMT x FE. I think is very same to assume that the Wii U won't be getting most muliplats.

Nintendo and PC gamer

The problem with developers waiting for Wii U to sell more units is that by the time they finally start working on a project, we won't see it for another year or two, leaving Nintendo (and apparently all of the indie developers they've been courting) to keep the releases flowing. That's not really reasonable...or feasible.

Bah!

Very true, it won't be getting most multiplats. But I do think that their will be more games made for wii u once it starts selling well.

I'm not really hoping for most multiplats on it, but I do hope that they make some new exclusives for it.

We all realize he mostly means things that won't interest very many folks, right?

So far CODGhost is now known since this was listed.

Don't expect any EA until late 2014 and fully expect the Star Wars related games. However, with EA we may only see gimped versions as they push gamers to other consoles.

I'm wondering about other games like MGS5, The Crew, Tom Clancy The Division, Mad Max, KH3, etc to be eventually come out as Nintendo either helps with porting or pays up cash.

In some cases like SE, Nintendo just needs to help or pay for their engines to plug into WiiU's SDK.

My thoughts exactly.   Of course more 3rd party titles will come.   But not necessarily the ones you care about.

I like a lot of the indie games that have been released recently, not just on wii u but xbox live and psn as well. I don't mind having a slew of indie games in between as well as classic VC games. I think indie games are going to be just as popular as AAA titles this gen. PS4 is gaining a lot of ground with the indie movement as well Nintendo.

But I do agree with developers waiting for Wii U to sell more units will only delay games on it further.

Stunning news. I thought the Wii U would literally never see another third party game again.

You're right, but let's not underestimate the powers of third parties being coy for unfathomable reasons (CoD: Ghosts) or games that nobody asked for but that still turn out to be kind of neat for those interested (Deus Ex Director's Cut)

I've found that the key to being a Nintendo fan and retaining sanity is to have no expectations at all, aside from the fact that what we get is usually pretty damn fun.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
