Nope.

On topic: Hilarious. If it turns out true that the PS4 launches only in North America and Europe in 2013, then we'll be looking at a situation where the only console manufacturer that really cares about the Japanese market happens to be the one that gets virtually no support from Japanese third parties.

I felt sad for Nintendo by reading that. They went half way and haven't been met there yet. Hopefully this does something... Fingers crossed!

I think it's a big error. You can't let Nintendo get a foothold in Japan. If it launches after Mario Kart it's all over really.

Complete reversal from the Vita launch, then. Shows the type of games they're going for as well.

You can when you have a mainline FF and KH game. Especially since NSMBWiiU didn't help the WiiU much.

NSMB was never going to though. And those two games are not exclusive and most likely won't be out for years. At which point if the system is struggling it will be too late to save.

Assuming two games (I don't see KH3 doung much long term) which are neither exclusive nor coming anytime soon will be the reason that the PS4 will suceed is optimistic.

Why was NSMBWiiU never going to help the WiiU?

Also, given that the XboxOne isn't going to be released in Japan, those games are exclusive to the PS4 in that region.

I sincerely doubt the XBone won't launch in Japan. If it doesn't then there's absolutely no reason for FFXV to go to the system. Let alone KH3.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Have a look at the list of countries where the XboxOne will release in. Japan isn't on the list. Also, please don't forget that Japan is only 1 country, there are plenty other countries where it will released in.

Luckily it isn't region locked!! It also makes this thread hilarious.

Why would this news make my thread hilarious since my thread is about the X1 not being able to be played even if you import it to an unsupported country?

PS4 is not region locked at all, I'll be importing and playing like every gen since Latin America has very little official support.

FF13 didn't even launched originally for X360 in Japan it was released a year after the PS3 version ans it sold 22K copies on launch.

It still doesn't make sense from a business perspective. Japan is one of the biggest markets in the world, and for Squeenix 70-80% of sales for FF and KH will come from Japan. So I don't get it. Unless Squeenix didn't know this?

We knew this.

Japan is pretty important, so I cant see them leaving it out.

TGS will have all the answers.

At launch yeah, it's launching a year later AFAIK.
