E3 public. I only saw this demo where Sakurai is playing with that guy, but I haven't seen a booth where people go in a line to play the game.

So since we all saw it get played live then it counts for these types of awards same as things like Beyond. Halo is the questionable one though, if that's in the list then this isn't the criteria they're basing it off of.
