Forums - Website Topics - Who is tired of VGC or wants a better community?

This site is unfortunately getting boring now because its quite obvious the PS4 will dominate next generation. This generation was very interesting because the 360 and PS3 were so close and there were lots of discussions and arguments about both consoles. But with next generation looking like the PS4 will win by a large margin, this site and many other forums will get boring.

You guys are okay with me. As for certain fans dominating--It's just video game discussion. Right?

As we have had many users leave (Including very active) in the last month to the embarrassing behavior of VGC I am curious on the users who are tired of VGC and hopes for a better community?

Quick question. What community is better/more civilized than ours?

People dont seem to like Neogaf around here but it is better/more civilized than ours. Especially over the last year.

People are also more informed on Neogaf which leads to less arguments about stupid shit. Theres also a general excitement about gaming over at gaf...which is missing around here. There are more threads about threads and threads about fanboyism on here than there is about games. Even sales discussion has died down.

I've been saying this for a while now, the main problem with this site is that there's a handful of trouble makers from each "side" which cause 90% of the shit that goes on. These guys are not banned because they are seen as "great contributors" to the site.

What the moderators don't get though is that these members are becoming more prominent. And guys who actually post informative and positive posts are becoming less active or leaving all together.

Lurkers and newbies see this and they think its the norm to post in a certain way.

Eventually we will be youtube, doesn't seem like it can be stopped really.

I heard IGN is getting more mods and Neogaf is good.

See, i would say neogaf too. They are very strict regarding moderation. The only reason I didn't is because Gaf is supposedly a playstation fanboy site, so I figured that couldn't be the better site we were all talking about.

I am. I'm not hoping for a better community though. Within the next few months I hope to leave this site. I won't be active on the forums even though I might check the sales once in a while.

I just got here, so I hope everybody doesn't leave.
