Lack of third party exclusives announced at Sony's conference isn't such a big deal. Why? Third party exclusive deals that truly matter are too expensive and MS isn't buying them either. (not putting down MS exclusives, they've come out surprisingly strong. And I was too a little disappointed in Sony's conference) If gamers will prefer (playing games on) a certain system, they will buy multi-platform games for that system. Gamers will decide in the end which console gets the best third party support.
MS is throwing a lot of money around, that is certainly visible. Sony doesn't have much money to throw. They can't out-money MS right now, they just can't. I don't believe PS4 will be sold at a loss either. MS is being a bully, but Sony will be that smart nerd who ends up with his girlfriend.
Sony did the most important thing. They built a great f***ing platform. The developers' praise tells you enough about which platform they will prefer working on. The consumers have spoken too (though not yet with their money). That will take care of the rest. And exclusives? Yes, there will always be great exclusives. Sony ain't gonna f*** that up. Just because MS is stepping up their game doesn't mean that Sony is falling behind.
PS: plus you know which console will have the best looking versions of third party titles, right? :) (excuse if this post ends up incorrectly parsed and without any paragraphs, I'm posting from mobile)
