Forums - Sony - Sony re third party: Build it and they will come

They announced exclusive content for the PS4 for Watchdogs, Assassins Creed and Destiny. That's pretty good to me. And I agree that games look better on the PS4.

I am fairly sure there were no games actually running on PS4s, all dev kits. I don't know how you could tell the difference from the internet streams, they all looks just as good as each other to me. Wait until the consoles actually come out before starting the graphics wars (and wait for ND to show up to the party)

They started by saying "let's talk about Vita" and I got all excited and then nothing came... Killzone and Tearaway are nice, but not quite "killer exclusives"

A GTA would be amazing, but even a better try at CoD or another AC game would be fantastic. I am still happy with my Vita, but at this rate I don't know how long that is going to last. Where was Type-0? Is it time to give up on that?

Yep cant understand why.

Sony seems to be doing horrible with the Vita while Nintendo is doing horrible with the Wii-U...they make quite a couple lmao.

Hoping for the best in the future...maybe another event will take place in the future although not holding my breath after all the promises >_>.

GamesCom? Not much tends to get announced there though... There is a steady flow of indie titals I guess, but that isn't what excites me. Anyway, Persona 4 should keep me busy for several hundred hours and I actually have a backlog of games to play, so give Sony some time I guess.

What I want to know is can I play PS4 games actually remotely, or does it rely on a direct connection?

I'm pretty sure MS bought Titanfall.

But Sony will get plenty of third party exclusives in Japan since the Xbone is going to be deader than dead there, even more so than the 360. Probably not big ones, though.

Tales series is enough for me to be worth it

Watch out

Tales of Hardcordia to be exclusive to Xbox One in NA/EU like Vesperia.

Vesperia (and star oceaon, TLO and blue dragon) were only exclusive because MS was paying devs to try and make a big push into Japan. Considering they don't even have the xbone releasing in Japan right now I think we can safely say that won't happen again.

I was watching the stream in 480p so from that I was more impressed with the PS4's graphics. Even at the Ubisoft event, when we saw them playing The Crew on with an Xbox 1 controller the graphics didn't look impressive at all. But when they played Watchdogs with a PS4 controller, the graphics were very nice.

That's true. Either way, graphics aren't a big deal to me at all and I still love playing N64 games.

The Vita connection could be like the WiiU Gamepad thing, uses bluetooth. I'm not sure how over the next (the only real alternative) would work.

Well I don't think you can judge just from game versus game. I agree Drive Club looked poor graphically, but it is perfectly possible because of the scope of that game AND it's not quite at the top of the tree, means it doesn't look as good. What I can 99% tell you is that they aren't running on real consoles, just dev kits which are a decent approximation

Hopefully, some of the Xbox One controllers are actually connected to PCs, since then I can buy one without having to buy the console

If i remember correctly, xbox 360 also went strong at the start of the last generation, much better than ps3, but eventually they gave up and went on the safe path (fable, gears, halo, forza). This time around they are providing a good flow of games and that is enough for me.

Gamescom was especially strong from Sony in the recent years, so I wouldn't cross that out yet. If I recall correctly Rain, Pupetter, Until Dawn (PS3), Resistance 3 in earlier years and Tearaway (PSV) were announced on Gamescom, plus there is TGS for the japanese part.

So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

Greatness Awaits!

Well let's hope that is true again this year
