Forums - Gaming - Has anyone actually seen a demo of how the PS4 UX will work?

Looks good but that add was incredibly cheesy.

The corny background music didn't help either.

Is it going to be basically the same as PS3 and Xbox 360 and run 1 app or game at a time and if you want to switch 1 stops and the other starts?

If I remember correctly, you'll be able to have more than one game or app open and running.  As well, there are background apps that are always available.

The PS4 OS is a multi-tasking OS.  So, time-slices are shared amongst open games/apps.  When an app/game goes full screen, it likely gets top priority, but I don't know if other apps drop into a lower state.

lol, at least it doesn't look metro'ish... oh, wait! and a big lol at that downloadbar! what did they download? a gif? hahaha, jk :) looks nice, but really looks like metro to me, even the font...

I have to agree, it really looks a lot like Metro.

Did either of you expect anything differently after the PSN Store update?  Basically a Metro knock-off there too.

that video was cheesy as hell lol... yup, definitely upgraded a lot. Cost increased dramatically

Looks OK..Has anyone actually had a hands on yet? Will Sony let people try it at E3? Still would like to see how you can quickly change from 1 game to NetFlix or 1 game to another.

Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.
