You're always reporting connections issues, maybe you should get a LAN adapter.
I only experienced such problems twice and made one video of it. I'm Rosalina and finished at the fist place, but Bowser won in the results screen.

Seems to be a pretty slow connection... Turn off all other wireless devices during MK8.
Oh, Venezuela, I guess it's hard to get a good connection there.
I have around 14 Mbps down, 2.5 Mbps up and 40 ms latency with the LAN adapter.
I imagine I am way late on this, but I finally got to play Mario Kart 8 at my friend's place. The good is we had an absolute blast racing for hours. I was rusty, but got the hang of it after a while. So a bright crisp fun racing game I can actually sit on the couch and play with a friend? Seems perfect.
Sadly the big drawback was when we went into battle mode. What is this? This is not battle mode, this is boring g and just a lazy after thought. Very disappointed as this mode was my favorite part of old Mario Kart games. We played this a few times, had no fun and went back to racing.
So the racing gets a 9 for me with solid selection of characters and tracks.
Battle mode gets a 2 for being a joke as feels like little thought or energy went into it.
Overall a strong 7 that easily could be a 9 if battle mode was half as fun as racing.
I must be the only person that enjoyed the battle mode :P

I actually enjoy it online when using the GamePad so I know where to find people. It's not as great as SNES through DS battle mode but it's still pretty fun.

Right on, online is the way to play the mode. Unfortunately I end up getting games with 4-8 people including me, it's hard to get a full game :(
