Games will come, everybody know that. Sony has been stellar on the PS3 when it comes to first party offerings. There's no reason to believe the same won't happen with the PS4.

When it comes to third party exclusives, more often than not, it's a mixed bag. Most of them are not what would be considered system sellers. But both are getting Mirror's Edge, so both shall do fine. =P

But yeah, I think it's pretty even when it comes to games. As far as my interest is concerned. Titanfall isn't my kind of game, Ryse looked ok, but I never liked the historical Rome setting, and then there's Sunset Overdrive which looked quite interesting.  Dead Rising? A lot of the long time fans of the series looked disappointed by what was shown. I wouldn't know, since I never got into that franchise.

Both consoles will get my game of the show so far: The Division.

But here, let's make a list of all confirmed exclusives. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong about some titles.

And I do see your point, but I would also like the state that while sony took a risk with the Blu-ray in the PS3 I believe it eventually paid off as we know see that it is now in the XBone and also that Blu-ray is the new format for movies and almost everyone i know owns a Blu-Ray player (or a PS3), but i could agree with you in the fact that microsoft are taking a bigger risk with the DRM and what not, still I see sony doing more with games in the risk department.

I'm sorry if i made it seem like i was trying to argue your point, I honestly meant nothing by  it. I just thought i would point some things out, but I am not in any way saying what you said was wrong, and good on ya ;)

They also have exclusive content for Watchdogs and Assasin's Creed.

Mad Max is not exclusive, also The Witness is timed PS4 Exclusive.

All that was said about The Witness is that it may come to other consoles but I wouldn't be so sure if I were you.

I will remove Mad Max from the list.

And, honestly, that's a real shock to say. Usually it's the other way around. Usually Sony flubs up, leaks everything, and comes across as the bad guys. This year, Microsoft did all those things, while Sony, on the other hand, had great security, announced things at the exact right moment, and had tighter control on information.

Even holding on to the no-DRM information was a masterstroke.

I really think last gen left Microsoft conceited and over-confident, and Sony a bit more humble and focused. That's really all I can think of to explain the complete role reversal.


Sums it up for me so far. Xbox has definitely shown a better lineup so far IMO. But that'll come clearer in the coming months. Sony have held onto my pre order for now. (The DRM and 350 price point mean so long as a couple of launch titles look good I'll get one day 1)
