| luinil said: Fun brawls earlier tonight WoW, Twit, and Shea. Would have been on much longer except I had a friend over to help bake some cookies. mmm mint chocolate chip... It was fun for the few brawls I was on. Shea did you get (and remember) a decent look at my Mario? Just curious your opinion on him. I need work to use his cape right though... I don't know the timing well enough. |
Hmm... Going by what I remember, your Mario has improved. Just a few tips is all I can give you at this point.
-Fluud make you heavier so always charge it.
-Best approach is the B-air. Other good ones are short hop fireballs and the D-air.
I know Brawl really has no combos, but there are somethings that will work if your opponent lets it happen. List of some Mario combos:
-If you are close enough, the hitstun from a fireball should be good enough in order for you to grab or get a jab in.
-Mario should be able to do at least two U-tilts on almost every character without them escaping at 0%. Bigger/heavier characters can take more.
U-tilt chain counts as a combo on some characters like Fox
U-air 2 times
D-air -> any double jumped aerial (except F-air) or F-smash if you can predict the direction they will go in.
The B-air, U-air, and N-air can be combined (only two at a time) in a short hop (any combination of the three except for two N-airs.)
The cape is used to reflect projectiles and to turn your opponent around. Places where you should use the cape:
-To reflect a projectile
-To turn your opponents around in the air while they are recovering.
It really should not be used for anything else unless you want to turn someone around who is doing a smash attack or charging something.
