I just realized that the Vita barely got any screentime at Sony's conference this year. Looking back, I'm not sure if a single Vita game was announced. Is Sony holding a separate Vita event later on like Nintendo did for th 3DS last year? Did Sony actually spend more time than I remember on the platform? Is the current Vita lineup already healthy enough for Sony to ignore it? Or is Sony just being mean to the little handheld with twin analogs?

I don't mean to rain on any parades here. I'm just interested in the handheld market, something that it doesn't seem I have in common with Sony. That's all.

Sony's E3 conference pretty much confirmed they don't have any hope for the system. Unless they show new games later this year. 

I think Sony's last hope is the PS4 + Vita features, which imo won't help the system all that much. 

Probably dealing with Vita and PS3 stuff later. Tretton specifically said "PSVita just began its life cycle"... or something like that. Even if it's just PR, PS4 remote play should boost Vita, and with more people getting Vita games via PS Plus (req. for PS4 online), I imagine more ppl would want a Vita to play those games.

I'm actually glad they didn't drag Vita, PS3 and multimedia crap much. Notice how they chose to get these out of the way via some quick montages and soon started dropping the PS4 megatons (FFXV, KH3, 399, no DRM, etc).

There gunning on the cross play feature and there will be more games for it. The cross play feature with the PS4 sold me on that alone.

You'd better hope something comes for it. Cross Play will not help the Vita greatly, if at all.

I don't think Sony even cares anymore...

Reporter: "Where was the Vita during your conference? You seemed to have treated it like a wart that's there, but you don't want anyone to see it!"

Sony: "What is the "Vita"? Are you talking about the other word for "life"?... Oh yeah baby, the PS3 and PS4 are for sure livin' it up, babay! You can count on that!"

Reporter: "..."

Not even a price drop on the memory cards... :/

I know there are still games coming but still.
