If anything this might encourage games getting cheaper faster since brick and mortar stores aren't locked into buy a million copies of something and barely anything selling. Those games sitting on the shelf collecting dust count as a sale to the publisher already. With the online system games nobody wants would be discounted with a couple weeks since the publisher will see pretty quickly they aren't going to be making any money with their games at that price point. |
yeah...no. THey will just let is sit on the Eshop or whatever for whatever price. They still sell COD MW3, freaking MW for full price on XB and Sony's shops. the big publishers, the greedy bastards will keep their prices high as they want to, and they might do some weekly sales nonsense to appease the masses and go right back to having the price high. I cant see how this is better than having straight retail option as if a game isnt selling in the store, you could bet your ass, they are going to try to get rid of it by lowering the price. Hell they do it for consoles, if they dont think its selling. THis is way is NOT better. No way. Having only digital on consoles suck, dont see why we cant have both, like every other damn form of entertainment, in the world does.
