Forums - Microsoft - What really bugs you about the One?

Nothing since I embrace the digital era. The faster we move away from physical media the better.

this is a tad worrisome

This is a inet shitstorm only. You see people with thousands of posts on a gaming forum complaining that they need to connect once every 24 hours. It is ridiculous.

They trample your consumer rights, take away your right to own property and your right to privacy and you are fine with it. If you were one of those paid shills that Microsoft is using for astroturfing (see http://www.businessinsider.com/microsoft-positive-reddit-comments-2013-6 ) it would at least make some sense. You are by far the worst poster I have seen in my years in this forum, and I'm not saying this lightly. You would literally eat a turd on a platter if it was served by your beloved corporation and then tell us how nice it tastes. "Pathetic" is not a strong enough term. You are part of the problem; it is people like you who make the video game experience worse for the rest of us. I am at a loss for words. SMH.

PS.
This isn't a troll post. I don't mean to troll anyone here. If the moderators see fit to ban me for this, then that is unfortunate, but it doesn't scare me into being silent instead of speaking the truth.

Worst of all you are PAYING M$ $60 per year to impliment drm on you LOL. It really get to me how people can support such a despicable push for anti consumer practices.

Would be flaming, not trolling.

Right, but it's not flaming, either. It's me puking, but with words.

What bugs me:
- crying people: don't buy it
- not reasonable criticism: lots of things are criticised that don't make sense (e. g. "nobody else can play my game at the same time as me" how's that ever been possible?)
- "there are no games" seriously, lol. Come on. If you literally mean "no games", see point 1 but first learn about the fact that the One will have games? If you mean "no cool or groundbreaking games", that's your opinion + see point 1 + if you have awesome, groundbreaking, innovative ideas, go share them with companies, get employed and earn tons of money!?
- "Kinect is shit and casual" I wonder what people expected from Kinect. As if it was some kind of magical device that would turn games into innovative craziness. I've been waiting for years now to read reasonable thoughts about why Kinect actually sucks. If you don't like it, that's your thing but doesn't make it a sucky device. It does what it can do. It never was intended to be a game changer. It never was intended to be of much use for the self-proclaimed core gamers, yet those people were hoping it would change gaming in a core way?

Today's gamers are just crybabies, always looking for the bad, adding even more nonsense on top of it to make it look more bad, in the end buying it anyways, just to rant some on the internet and drive senseless discussions about taste but talking about it as if it was only facts, logical sense and common to think their way.

Nothing. I love it just the way it is.

I LOVE ICELAND!

I don't consider it flaming, but I am not the guy who enforces the rules around here.

I know, you are one of the good guys, that's why I like you.

I give you props for doing that I too would like to call out members like ironmanDX, Koweniki, DirtyP, Slomo, Sales, Puggsly, walsnfur who are the top M$ Apologeticcs on the forums. It sickens me how much they actually seem to support this blatent fu to consumer rights and privileges. They act like the 1% who think that everyone else are just acting like entitled crybabies.

Ostro we have a right to voice our opinions when a company is changing the freaking industry as a whole for the worse. It doesn't mean that we are cry babies.

Some people who love gaming can't afford $60 a game and want to just rent games for some $ a month but guess what with M$'s new policy they can't.

Wanna share games with your college or local buddies? Well you gotta go through many loops in order to do it.

You feel that gamestop rips you off for trading in your used game and decide to want to sell it on ebay, craigslist, locally to a friend, or on some online forum... well too bad they are not "traditional authorized retailers" and now with this polocy you will get even less for your trade-ins.

And this is just the start of it. If people weren't vocal (cry babies as you call them) then the U.S. wouldn't exist. Slavery would still exist. Monopolies would still be ripping of customers and no one would do shit about it. Be Vocal and Be proud.

It's not "a" company, it's several companies. The major third party publishers (the likes of EA and Activision) demanded this and Microsoft didn't decline, because they need those companies' games. It's pretty shortsighted to blame Microsoft alone.

M$ could have easily said no but seeing as how they need 3rd party support they kissed ass and said lets do it!!!

What's worse is that MS itself is implimenting this with their games and no matter what requires a once every 24 hour check in. Plus drm is included with every game unless a publisher specifically wants to opt out.

OTH with what Sony has said, they themselves don't have drm with 1st party and drm is optional for the ones who want it and seeing the consumer backlash and god knows the backlash from Japan if square, konami, namco, capcom implimented this, I don't see most publishers implimenting this except ea/activision/ubisoft. IDK about t2, beth, warner but they don't seem to want to bother with this.
