Of all the new contenders only Ouya makes one thing right, that in the copied article is painted in bad light: custom made games. Games directly from the Play Store might work sometimes, sometimes not, or bad. Ouya avoids this.

Meh, I'd just sync a PS3 controller to my phone and plug the phone into my TV. Same thing.

I don't understand why anyone would be excited about these platforms. Their game libraries aren't going to attract core gamers, and they offer casuals the same gaming experience as their phone or tablet, only in a slightly less convenient fashion.

Am i missing something?

Not all MadCatz stuff is low quality. Take for example their arcade fight sticks. So it could turn out to be something good.

Don't know if to take seriously or treat as a fad
