If Xbox One is not fail prone Hardware...good luck in the states sony..

The 360 was mainly bought for multiplats and hearsay from Xbox Live. Sony has got those both covered in spades. MS is going to have a fight this generation especially since they are launching so close to each other. Sony will have the last word at E3, so I would continue with the caution as we will all see what MS has to offer and eventually Sony.

I couldn't have sworn Halo had to do something with it.

Check the sales from Halo...having 70 M+ console owners did very little but tack on a couple million more sales opposed to 25 M selling console. The highest Halo has sold on the 360 was 11 million. Kinect Sports did more for sales than Halo did, which is probably why MS is so enamored with it now.

Kinect Sports isn't multiplat though

Looking at it so far? Recovering their greatness? No.

Screwing it up slightly less then the other two? Probably.

Everything could still change by release, and who knows how the things will actually be received....

but so far. Sony looks like a kid who returns to straight A's because his History class is on a curve and one of his classmates turned in their work early without a fully formed concept on his idea, and the other turned in a paper that was on the quantum physics of black holes.

That is of course that it turns out the sony DRM isn't identical to the 360 DRM. Which I have an odd feeling it is, and Sony is just waiting to let MS take all the heat... going out of their way to bat down the idea of a DRM that microsoft explained wrong. When they both have the same DRM that is different from what everyone thought MS described due to the "Always on console" being conflated with "Always online." (When instead the DRM is sometimes online, and you can play your games offline (but they have to be authenticated and checked online, but this is where the PR dodging would come in.)

As it is, functionality wise, I actually think all three next gen consoles are a step backwords from last gen.  So it'd be hard for me to argue anyone is recovering to form.

The wii tablet wasn't functionally well thought out, and it's undue expense ignored.... and the Xboxone... could still win the generation.  Though it may win it due to it's non game issues.   It's just a matter of how much the proffessor likes quantum physicis.

Yoshida confirmed there is no DRM at all in the PS4 if theres any DRM at all it will be third party inflicted.

Based on everything that's happening on the internet, I'm sure PS4 already won the generation. But Vita also had already won it on the internet before and we know what happened after it's release in real life. I believe we should wait till every new console is released before making threads like this.

Yeah, but that explains 100% why MS is obsessed with Kinect still to this day and it just might hurt them a bit. Halo is a great game but on its own it doesnt shift consoles any different than the original Xbox did. Doesn't need to be a multiplat, lol. I am thankful that Ryse will be a full console release though rather than a Kinect title. MS couldnt prove they could make a full game for us outside of the casuals. Casuals most of the time dont translate from one console to the other so hopefully MS has a good Kinect showing because the multiplats will be better will have a slight edge on the PS4 as it seems.

As gamers domination is not greatness - we need a strong competition. Did you have less fun with ps3 than with ps2? Or let's say it in another way: Do you think you would've had more fun with ps3 when it would have dominated the market this gen like last gen? I just don't see the analogy with greatness and domination.

I would have had way more fun if all my friends played on the same console.

Well, why didn't you buy the console your friends did? Either it's important to you or it isn't.

If they had all bought the same system that would have worked. Instead it is a battle of what the people I went to school with play on, what the people I work with play on, and what console my family plays on. I had all three systems, so I got to play with all of them. It was just some years I was playing multis on PS3 and others on 360.

On the exclusive side I really wanted some friends to try games, but they did not have the system. Some came over and played, but others have families and it would be irrisponsible to spend 10 - 15 hours playing a video game at someone elses house.

These things were not an issue when everyone I know had a PS2.

Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. Help make existence a beautiful thing.

As locked as anything can be.

It has 50% marketshare written all over it.

I think Sony has a lot of momentum but will probably end up shooting themselves in the foot at first.. I think you all forgot why the PS3 started out slow.. basically price... Gamers by the time these systems launch will have plenty of choice as far as games go.. Nintendo will be showing off some great stuff in the coming weeks.. from E3 and Nintendo Direct for Wii U... Sony will have a lot of games on display... and Microsoft... well.. let's be honest.. they will sell okay because they still have a hardcore following so no matter how they screw up.. they will do okay.. but yeah.. they end up in third.. next generation...

Nintendo Wii by generations...

1. Wii

2. Wii U

3. Wii O U

Predictions made by gamers concerning the current Nintendo line up of games.

Pikmen 3= Little Bump to nothing. (Got Little Bump)

Wind Waker HD= Won't sell anything (The explosion happened here and at one time 4 Wii U games was in the Amazon top 100)

Super Mario 3D World= Won't help at all looks cheap. (Currently the most sought after Wii U game and continuing the Wii U increase.)
