BenVTrigger said: Pretty awesome sounding concept. The most interesting thing about this for me though is yet another developer saying they are using MS cloud computing to go "beyond the hardware". Turn 10 also stated Forza 5 will use real time cloud computing. Many people have laughed at the concept of cloud computing working in real time gameplay and yet we now have several developers saying it does and that they are using it.

Which are lies. Look at Simcity. Cloud computing in actual gameplay isn't available yet. Maybe a couple years in the future but for now they're marketing buzzwords.

Read my other post.
MS is not new to the server side of things in fact theyve been hugely commited to it lately. Its one of the most profitable sides of their business. Whose to say they havent made some breakthroughs?
Sony and Nintendo are far from the only innovators in the industry. This could all be marketing buzz but it very well could be the real thing.

Theres nothing to backup that this isnt marketing buzz though...
And MS are strong in the business/enterprise cloud solutions not gaming. Integrating real time cloud computing as a means of core processing for a game is not something thats been done before. MMO's do not do this. Streaming services like Gaikai and OnLive dont do this either. MS are making bold claims and to be honest i dont see how this is gonna take off.
And this instantly isolates people with no internet, bad internet or people who live far away from the server. Sigh...it seems like something extreme to do just to get better performance....rather spend the money in doubling your local processing power.
Saying that though...i have faith in the Forza devs and respawns devs.
