Forums - Gaming - Is the Xbox One looks growing on you

I have no problem with the looks of the console. I don't get why anyone else would care either.

The look of the machine has no impact on my decision to buy one; and the look is the least of the X1s problems.

this is possibly one of the worst designs ive ever seen,

...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...

PSN: Skeeuk - XBL: SkeeUK - PC: Skeeuk

really miss the VGCHARTZ of 2008 - 2013...

True, the look of a console when all is said and done really will not amount to much. I know I never let the look of a console even pause me from a purchase.

One question I would ask is if the look represent MS focus to go for a broader market. As some people have noted, it doesn't look like an average console but instead a piece you would put along side your Home Theater unit.

I am really interested to see Sony design and how they look at the market based on their console.

The controller looks amazing for sure (and it probably feels that way too) but that's it...

It was love at first sight. Just as my eyes met with those of Kinect 2.0 aka Hal 9000.

Its fugly and bulgy but most of that extra bulge is there to prevent any overheating/RROD disaster. The first redesign will probably make it a lot smaller especially if the skip the 22nm chipset process and make their first redesign using 14nm chips which will probably be cost effective and widely available in late 2015. Another minor thing that bothers me about the design is that the camera lens on the Kincet 2.0 is not in the center.

How is this bulgy? And compared to what? An Ipod? Stop playing guys ;)

Did you know see Kincet 2.0 being tested on multiple  YouTube videos? I don't think there's any problem at all.

As for my opinion I think it's a very sexy machine that will very well integrate with my entertainment set up.

Xbone is definitely growing in me... in me pants!!!

i actually like the look. most people that hate it would hate it regardless. i laugh everything most of the people say it looks like a vcr. how many of those puppets even know what a vcr is.

I don't mind the look of the console or controller, but I'll probably be iffy on Kinect no matter what Microsoft does.

I don't mind what it looks like, I do mind that it still needs a power brick and now also Kinect required.
And will it work standing on it's side?

I move my consoles around the house a lot, kids play or watch movies in the living room, I take it downstairs at night to play on the projector. Easy with ps3, you only need a standard power and hdmi cable in each location. Digging out a power brick and recalibrating Kinect every time is a pain in the ass.
