Forums - Gaming - So , IGN hates Remember me because it is like Assassins Creed and Uncharted

Guess Japanese developers don't pay IGN enough, so they settle with paying Famitsu

http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/06/02/remember-me-review

According to IGN this game sucks because of these things

"The game tells you where to jump and shows you where you should leap and highlights your next platform" - Uncharted.

"It feels more like a movie than it is a game" - Uncharted

"You can't interact with the world around you, thats a big shame because the graphics look good" - Uncharted

"Its very linear and scripted" - Uncharted

"The plot is very interesting, but you have fight hordes and hordes of enemies to get to those interesting cutscenes" - Uncharted.

"She jumps from Platform to platform automatically" - Assassins Creed.

"The combat gets you into many hordes of enemies but when you unlock some combos, the game feels so easy that you don't want to unlock more" - Assassins Creed

Yeah, so how come those games get a free pass and worse, awards and all that crap?  aren't they just like this? there is a reason why gaming becoming stale as hell because journalism just wants sequels and sequels.

By the way i don't give a damn about Capcom , so im not siding with them either.

No he gave it 5.9 because the combat doesn´t feal really good and the Gameplay aspect of this "game" is the weakest part. You should read the whole review. He makes valid points. And you are in no position to judge because you have not yet played the game.

Not only IGN. I have read a pre-review of the game by the German magazine PCGames today (pre-review because they couldn't test the PC version yet, only the Xbox360 version), which gave it a rating range of 65-72%. I'm actually pretty sure this game won't reach an average score of 70, all the trailers I've seen were just plain boring.

EDIT: 4players.de rated it an 68/100

After watching the Gametrailers review (6.8) it looks like the combat has no depth as it doesn't really matter what combo you use and the best feature (memory rewinding) is great but way underused.

I'm probably still getting it as I love cyberpunk.

and the other sites that rated this low? are all site getting paid too?

Yes, hence why I said "Gaming journalism"  , its a good business giving that most gamers nowadays just watch reviews and wait for the next call of duty to release.

I watched one game play video last week and knew this wasn't going to be a great game. I don't read reviews, but it sounds like this game was scored accordingly.

I am the Playstation Avenger.

You got any proof for your competent claims?

You just have to switch the 5 and the 9 and this could be written under an Uncharted review.

Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.

You really think journalists never get paid?

what about Mass Effect 3 ? when it came out, it was game of the years / generation whatever, then after people played it , was a huge backlash

I can´t believe I am getting into this discussion.

You probably never even have an Uncharted game, and neither have you this one. So where is the point in this argument? Plus comparing this game to Uncharted is hilarious. I mean Why don´t we just compare Twisted Metal with Forza.
