Do they have any successful Hardware besides the Xbox360? All the other devices I am aware of failed pretty hard. Their OS and software on the other hand is great, IMO they should stick to this side of the company.

what windows 8 proves is the hardware side isn't willing to take the risks MS wants to push as part of their agenda.  so i think MS wants to take a more leadership role there to ensure their software side doesn't suffer when hardware manufactures baulk at windows 8 and windows phone and whatever else MS comes up with.  this is about self preservation.

Sounds kind of like Nintendo.

i actually still had a zune that i lost a month ago. the hardware wasnt the problem. too late to market and proprietary software was. surface too late to the market. windows 8 biggest failure is not in windows 8 but the os wasnt right for a desktop.

When will ms learn people don't wan their hardware. Zune and surface are fine examples of this. there not good at it, never have been and it doubtful they will ever be.

when will people learn to inform themselves about the hardware devision and what they offer to customers before ranting about previous and not-so-successful products.

what ever happened to their house of the future?

Walsufinr, like every product outside of the 360?

Lol, okay sure, that's why they bricked a million zuns with a firmware update, there 360 it's self was a horrible mess, from rRod to damaging disk. Their 360 racing wheel was known to catch fire. Even their keyboards and mouse don't last. Maybe your the one who shouldn't be talking, quality isnt their strong point. And still didnt answer the question of what out side the 360 can be considered a success?

Guys, why are we making this personal? mmmfishtacos thinks that there's a high defect rate in some of their products. He may be right just use figures and come to conclusions about it.

But bottom line that doesn't matter because despite the defects, for instance with the 360, they came back strong and were able to brush it off soon and mitigated. It's already a first step.

Also, if MS enters the market aggressively, they can really only get better at it one hopes. So all in all this could only be good news.

And ms has the worst track record for making as little as they do. I did buy ms, I dot now. And your still dogin the question
