My prediction is it'll be re-branded as Final Fantasy XV for PS3, with a possibility of ports for the PS4, WiiU and 360.

It is based on the same mythos as FFXIII, and FF Agito XIII.

It definitely won't be for the PS3 (also, I take it you mean Xbox One not 360?).

They are releasing Lightning Returns later this year and they won't release Versus so close to that, which means if it were to release for PS3 it would be in about 1 week or in a year, both of which are stupid. {They also have HD remasters of KH and FFX coming later this year}

Rebranded as FF XV is a posibility, but I am not so sure, I think they might do something more traditional for XV or maybe that is just what I want...

They key is that they said they are working on Final Fantasy for the PS4, they are going to announce something Final Fantasy related for the PS4 and if isn't Versus, then it has got be dead I feel.

Anyway, my money is on  basically the same as ever, FF Versus (no XIII), KH 3 and FF VII HD remake all PS4 exclusives

At the playstation anouncement they have said that some Final Fantasy game will be shown during Sonys E3 so i am sure ist Versus 13 what will be shown.

Sadly, if ever it does get revealed this year at E3, it is going to be for Holiday 2014 :( We do have Lightning Returns this year..... *Please be excited*

There's rumors that Sony stepped in to help with development for Versus and A Realm Reborn in exchange for some type of exclusivity. The portion about A Realm Reborn was true so I wouldn't get your hopes up too high for a Wii U/Xbox One release, at least not on launch.

So my theory about why Versus was announced so early is because Square wanted another game to be developed on the very expensive ground up "Crystal Tools" engine. They didn't want to waste such tech on just one game. They probably wanted to ease the stock holders too that such an investment would help other projects too.

So they announced Versus. But after XIII-2 and Lightning Returns which actually did end up using the engine extensively and helping pay off the expense of this unique tech, they detached Versus. Couple that with Sony helping with the production for the PS4 you have a reason why the project moved on.

Pros of Versus moving to the PS4: Probably early release date, we won't have to wait for a couple of years.
Cons: I don't know how much of those Agnis graphics we will see with the project been based on PS3 for so long.

Pros of Versus staying on the PS3: 70+ instal base will enjoy the game.
Cons: PS4 Final Fantasy will take hell long to come out.
