Should a woman be able to get an abortion purely on the basis of the gender of the baby? Why or why not?
No less wrong than regular abortions for convenience I suppose.
I recall hearing its illegal to perform an abortion if the mother wants to terminate it because of the gender. But if abortion is legal, I don't see why the reason matters.

second trimester abortion is extra wrong.. so yes. its messed up to begin with but dont wait till the baby is formed to do it. C'MON.
I'd need to hear more from babies before I can really form an opinion

They'll have to live with the consequences when they create a whole class of men who can't get a girl because of society-wide gender imbalance, who will then be much more likely to turn to crime and such.
completely wrong. You have a lot of tools to not get pregnant. Is just a matter to use them or not.
I'm of the opinion that abortion is not wrong. I don't see how basing the abortion on gender makes it bad, so I would have to say no.

You can have all the tools but accidents can still happen though
Abortion isn't wrong but it shouldn't be based on what gender your child should be, abortion is there for those who don't want a child at all. Doing it shouldn't be based on gender, as it's caused a lot of problems with society and creates an unequal balance in gender. I think this happened in China with the one child policy, as they traditionally want boys to carry on the family
