Damn got a little excited for a second that this would be a huge epic multi-game series from monolith soft. Still excited as ever for the new game though.

They did, in Xenosaga episode 3, and it was one of the best ending sequences in videogame history.

It should be noted that Xenoblade was never meant to be a real Xenoverse game, apparently it was just renamed that in order to attract fans of the true Xenoverse game franchise. Monado is what the actual name of Xenoblade is.

The best thing Nintendo could possibly do is to acquire the original Xenogears license back from Square, give it to Takahashi so he can create a true Xenogears game. There were Gears shown in its trailer afterall. I am going to remain hopeful that this is happening.

I hope not, I don't want unnecessary Latin in the title or the team to get bogged down in crafting a overarching storyline they were with the Xenosaga games, which would up negatively effecting the games.

Have you played Xenogears and Xenosaga trilogy? (Xenogears a trully a masterpiece, then Xenosaga came and it is just nice) If you did, you already know that this dudes get worst after every game they make :( .   If you did not, I recommend you to not get hyped until you played the game; just saying.

The storyline is the main thing that makes Xenogears the greatest RPG ever made.

The content seems passable, but the title is poor.

Xenoblade is as close to perfection as can be expected with jrpgs today. Whatever the end result will be X won't disappoint.

I'm glad this is fake. I had an awful pain of dissapointment reading it for a moment. The name, plot and theme sound fine for a B-level RPG. Xenoblade was a true flagship RPG for a gaming generation. The sequel could be a true AAA, massive blockbuster RPG that could move systems and bring new people to the genre. It needs a name with mass appeal, a theme that is cool and a setting that is unique and intriguing. Xenoform sounds like a dorky sci-fi movie. X should be fantasy, but not dorky.

Xenogears is overrated when it comes to its story IMO, what made Xenoblade so successful was that it was very much a gameplay centered experience and while it wasn't without story, the thing that bogged down Xenogears and the Xenosaga games was always over reliance on the story and not letting the players actually play the game.

I mean who really wants to wait years between game releases to get the "whole" story? When has a structure like that EVER paid off? Shen Mue? Mass Effect? Has it worked out for Assassin's Creed and it Desmond arc? Final Fantasy XIII? Anyone satisfied with or understands the Kingdom Heart main plot outside of die hards? The game at hand should be the focus not crafting some ambitious story that may never get completed.

The relative quality of each Xenosaga game is debatable. I, for one, thought that the third game was easily the best. Though, I've met people who weren't satisfied with it (expactations set infinitely high?). If you'd like to argue that the story weakens with each installment, I might agree with that. Regardless all of Takahashi's games have exceptional narratives, and the gameplay appears to be only improving.
