Maybe the one where you cut certain trees so that only the big beetles spawn. And cut certain trees down, the ones where it's difficult to catch them.

I tried the island night time beetle thing tonight...didn't realise how profitable it was...holeee shee-it!!!!

It's not necessarily a trick. That's why I put it in quotes. 

You just go to the Tropical Island and catch a ton of beetles, then sell them on the black market at Re-Tail.

ah ok ... did that earlier today ... got ~12k from the bugs i sold ... was really nice, but what about the night or chopping trees ?
or did i missread it ... just did it on the daylight and no chopping trees ...

I don't chop down trees, it's not necessary.

You need to start searching for beetles on the island past 6:00 PM. That's when all the rare beetles come out. I usually make around 400'000 per trip when I come back from it.
