I guess this confirms that the PS4 will not cost $349, the Xbox One will not cost $399, and they will not sell out at launch.

Blockbuster isn't a video game store, it's a place you get movies. AKA TV stuff. I think most people pre-ordering the XBone at blockbuster are there for the XBone's TV features.

Apparently Blockbuster UK have terrible times with people and pre-orders (i.e hardware usually does badly)... the Wii which should have been by far the biggest pre-order you can imagine was only a few hundred apparently.
So a few things to suggest:
1. Xbox is bigger than a few hundred pre-orders
2. PS4 hasnt had a few hundred pre-orders or less than Xboxone at Blockbuster
3. Blockbuster is crap and will be out of business within the next two years.
Blockbuster like any retail outfit is looking for anything they can use to drum up extra support... wouldnt be surprised if game/shopto etc all do the same in terms of Console/productA/B is doing well in the next few weeks. Retail is really buggered right now.... not sure how i feel about that being a bit of an old school shopper, but thats the way it goes.

I could have sworn I've seen that predicted price for PS4 before! ;)
I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!
Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.
I'd love those prices but I'm expecting something around 400-450 if not 500.

And Amazon in the UK isn't Amazon in the US. What's your point?

According to the MCV news, it was suggested by James Morton, -
“We are delighted by the huge number of pre orders that we have received so far for the new Microsoft console,” the retailer’s head of games James Morton stated.
Having searched for James Morton, i get this....
Head of Product at Blockbuster Entertainment Ltd. Location: Southall, United Kingdom; Industry: Retail. Join LinkedIn and access James Morton's full profile.
So i guess they are talking about Blockbuster UK, which isnt part of Blockbuster US.
so basically ps4/xone for over 499 and struggle to sell given his past predictions.

However it is the same company. Not only that, but the UK is a very small region to be counting your pre-orders from to begin with.
