Forums - Gaming - Am I the only one that doesn't watch TV on TV?

Cable is starting to become the thing of the past....I only have it on for background noise and only pay attention to something I want to see.

I stream WWE PPV's illegally too.

Around the Network

I keep cable for sports and not much else to be honest.

A few good shows here and there.

I am a fan of a few series on the TV. The Walking Dead, the roasts and 1 hour stand up specials on comedy central, Toonami programming (Bleach, One Piece and Soul Eater), Adult Swim shows, and when I'm in my room, I like to have some background noise so i usually put CNN to stay remotely in touch with the news around the world, biased or not.

Overall, I don't watch tv very often so extensive TV functionality are not ever remotely interesting to me. I'd much rather play games than watch tv, you know, ON MY GAMING CONSOLE.

When I go home, I will be watching tons of TV on TV, even if now I watch TV through online on demand services (all legal)

I don't steal and intend to watch TV as it is meant

The only bad thing I do is to watch Netflix USA occasionally

I just don't understand why so many people don't have a problem with illegal streams. You should probably become a PC gamer then since piracy is much easier

Look at the alternative. 5-10 minutes TV, 5 minutes commercials, 5-10 minutes TV, 5 minutes commercials.

Streaming online = No commercials.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Nope not really a fan of tv here... I watch sports every now and then on tv...champions league, la liga, international games etc... don't really follow any tv series...and if there is a ppv of something I want to see I will stream it online free..I do however watch netflix every now and then on my consoles they have some old shows on there...it's mainly just used as background noise to help me sleep though.

Yeah, it costs money to make so it should cost money to view, that seems fair to me. Or you can wait for DVDs to come out

Haven't watched tv or cable in about 2 years, maybe more. There's actually no point nowadays, and I never change inputs either except for different consoles.

It does cost money to view. That is reflected in my $160/month cablevision bill, plus these companies keep demanding more money each year and my rates go up. So over the years we get higher rates AND more commercials.

I pay for cable and decide to download the episodes instead of watching them on TV with the commercials. Seems fair to me.

And what happens to the cost of producing TV? It is their content and they have the right to protect it. If they didn't make any money with these fees then they would do something else. The answer is to not watch TV, not to just steal it

i literally stopped watching TV unless its for football (or what some might call soccer). other than that i havent really payed attention to tv in years. i simply watch everything on my PS3 or PC. its much better
