wow that's some serious changing of an interview from destructoid

this. People here did not understand the article.
Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

Get off your high horse. The article says that real gamers, gamers who only play games regardless of corporate loyalty, will buy Xbox One if it has great exclusives.Gamers might not make X1 their #1 go-to console, but they will buy it if appealing exclusives come to it. That is not arrogance. |
Not really a high horse. I do think they're right. The hardcore people will still buy the system despite all the missteps and gaffes they've managed in only 1-2 weeks (myself included).
The Wii U is the same way. I imagine it'll finish with most hardcore people picking one up after a few more games and a price drop.

Selective reasoning seems to be your forte. Nintendo expanded its market share more than MS gen over gen, and also posted vast profits. So even in this selective regard, MS still comes up short. And I'm certain MS cares about its market share, despite your opinion on the matter. Again, a far cry from what Sony accomplished with the PS2. |

| Imaginedvl said: Most conistent company at E3: Sony Okay... Again, your oppinion presented as general fact. Keep going. |
You're probably right that it is a matter of opinion that Sony is the most consistent company at E3, but look it up...you'll find I am far from alone. Nintendo and Microsoft tend to be hit or miss at E3. Nintendos best E3 was 2010 when they showed off a slew of games no one else could follow.
You never said anything about the movie gaming company. Of course you didn't. :)

The base price was $499 not $599 it was a reasonable price given the technologies it came with, even though the planning was horrible and risky. Bluray being anti-consumer is subjective indeed, I think it was a step that initially harmed sony, but not necessarily its customers. Free online play was a great advantage whether or not PSN was fresh, and it remained free as promised. You may find it cheesy, but selling at great losses is also a form of good customer-service. |
I don't know if you remember that time, but the 499 one didn't sell well at all, and was discontinued in a short amount of time. But w/e, its all subjective. Nm.

This is not an argument any longer, even I ignored Sony when they put the price up to $599. Guess what? They dropped the price. They dropped the price numerous times compared to MS. MS hasn't done that in years officially except to bait Black Friday and September sales. Starts to look like manipulation at some point, but you know me I am just a hater, right?
"The general message is that Microsoft didn't feel it was important to show games at the Xbox One reveal, because the custom of gamers is already taken as granted. It'll be pushing the One to other types of buyers, those not already considered dominated. "
How are we supposed to take these articles seriously?!? I may not be the most thrilled about the Xbox One but seriously this is some bad "journalism".

You still didn't answer me before....
The other was predicting a negative future for MS whereby they repeat their mistakes, while at the same time disregarding the notion that they can learn from mistakes and the proof to back it up that they have been building up their internal teams considerably.
Your negativity in the face of contradictory evidence and general sour outlook on their future with no basis tells me you hide behind the term "loyalty free".
..because when you hit rock bottom the obvious choice is to look for a jackhammer.
