Yes, it certainly isn't looking good. Perhaps it can make it to 500k LT, but does it really deserve it?

Insomniac should never have tried something new and should have just done what they're good at.

What kind of cynical logic is that? Developers have every right to experiment with their projects. Sure, maybe it didn't come out as plan, but nevertheless they tried. You can expect them to pump out R&C games for their entire life span, that's just selfish.

I guess so, but at least do something new. The initial concept was great, and it seems to play well. Had they followed that, the game could have been really rather special, rather than the bland, generic game it is now.

I'm going to go out on a limb and jump on the bandwagon and blame EA.

Insomniac have the R&C and Resistance franchises under their belt, both high quality and impressive franchises. They have shown immense creativity and great writing/story development in crafting the world of R&C, probably more so than in resistance. My guess is that EA did not like the unique feel they were trying to game into and probably gave them some sort of ultimatum. This is all in theory, of course.

I hope this does not mean the end of Insomniac. I love both R&C and Resistance a lot. I'll give fuse a try but I hope they can bounce back from this.

I fear you may be correct. Create something as low-risk as possible, then you have little chance of failure. Sadly, it's also led to a mediocre game, as opposed to one which had the potential to be great.

I echo your thoughts with the bolded, however. Insomniac has created some of my favourite franchises and was pretty iconic in my childhood, with the likes of Spyro and Ratchet. Seeing that talent disappear would be a real shame.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

How can Fuse have release today but have two weeks of sales?

If they only stayed exclusive to Sony, this game would have sold a well as an exclusive on the PS3.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

I think people are overblowing how this game could kill them.

Yes, we've seen it happen to other studios before after a bomb, but Insomniac are 3 studios. One of which made this; one of which makes Outernauts and one of which makes Ratchet & Clank.

If anything takes them down, it'll be a combination of all 3 of these things doing poorer than expected, which they most certainly are at the moment.

Yeoch metacritic... thought people said it would score in the 80's...

I was really pulling for this game.

I know this might be a little bit necrobumping, but look at this:

(And look at the older price)

This is unnaceptable. (This is the official price in GAME stores, people!). This game was out with a price of 69'95 euros! (74$!!!!). What did they expect, seriously? Is this the same in other places? THIS IS A FUCKING STEAL.

I think its safe to say, the bomb cannot be defused
