Insomniac needs to start making those amazing platform games they have always been good at.

Their games would work wonders on Vita and WiiU.

Yes, it certainly isn't looking good. Perhaps it can make it to 500k LT, but does it really deserve it?

Insomniac should never have tried something new and should have just done what they're good at.

What kind of cynical logic is that? Developers have every right to experiment with their projects. Sure, maybe it didn't come out as plan, but nevertheless they tried. You can expect them to pump out R&C games for their entire life span, that's just selfish.

A new funny co-op platformer would have been better to invest in.

The reviews actually made me more interested in the game, because the common consensus is "It's a lot of fun" mixed with "but it's generic as fuck".

That's where I think all the comparisons with Overstrike stand out. If they had gone with a more original setting; a more goofy premise, I think they'd be alright. They clearly have a workable TPS base, they needed to expand on that to make an interesting game, not a "let's play it safe" title.

I wonder if it'll outsell Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel.

me too. i wasn't excited about overstrike but it was at least moderatly interesting.  the new setting is at least 10x more generic and soo much more like everything else on the market.

i just don't know about insomniac anymore.  when all they were doing was R&C i put them among my favorite developers.  that series is just so outstanding.  but then resistance (the first one) came along and i gave insomniac the benefit of the doubt but just couldn't get into the game.  just not enough character to the game.  ..and it couldn't just be me because even will the full weight of sony's marketing it still couldn't do very well at market.

then R&C all 4 one was terrible.  i haven't played full frontal assult yet but it didn't review well.  now this.

i'm curious to see what they are doing for MS if rumors are true but at this point i can't imagine it being good unless MS has some serious creative input.  i've just lost all faith in insomniac now.

Sony is that way insomniac

Too bad the rumor is they're going to be on stage at E3 showing off an Xbone exclusive.

Damn are insomniac like zoro from one piece and that they have no sense in direction.

Bet with gooch_destroyer, he wins if FFX and FFX-2 will be at $40 each for the vita. I win if it dont

Average score for an average game. Less than average sales, though.

4 ≈ One

Probably going to do my first thread about EA (Not original at all) but it'll cover its 2013 thus far

I guess so, but at least do something new. The initial concept was great, and it seems to play well. Had they followed that, the game could have been really rather special, rather than the bland, generic game it is now.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Jesus.....those are some bad sales.

Suddenly I am not looking forward to the Insomiac rumored Xbone exclusive at E3....their track record is questionable as of late.
