Exactly. Deal with it. |
This isn't populated by Spanish users, japanese users. This forum is populated by mostly UK and NA users. So its kinda odd that the internet users are the polar opposite of real world sales ratios.

You also forget that there's a greater portion of gamers who purchase the PS systems.

That is entriely subjective with no data to support that. Im going by pure NA and UK sales figures. Only conclusion I can come up with is that PS gamers need "group therapy" by reassuring eachother on the internet.
I remember the time when PSN was down back in 2011....yeah, Xbox fans were having field day.
There are extremists on all sides.
For example, in a drunken love fest last night I got the Sony logo tattooed on my ass, and a portrait of Kasz tattooed on my pex above my heart so the peace is always close to what matters. Some fans just are not doing it right.

Sony jokers are more vocal that's all - just like a bunch of little Kazes

Games can and should tell stories and share ideas through their mechanics. This is the intrinsic element of the medium and this is how experiences should be crafted in video games. No company does this as well as Nintendo and their echoes from the past.

Only conclusion I came up with is that more casuals buy Nintendo and MS systems than Sony ones. It does make sense after all. For Nintendo, it's well-known but for Xbox360s, don't forget that Kinect sold, what, 15M?
| sales2099 said: Well, this site is populated by UK/NA users mostly. Both are 360 turf. It is just odd that the numbers aren't more Xbox centric. The only rationale is that all the "normal" gamers, people who don't have the need to talk about their feelings on forums (lol), just play Xbox and live their daily life. Serious, avid gamers, the ones who feel the desire and need, to discuss their feelings on the internet, seem to flock towards Sony consoles. Sony gamers seem to like group therapy ![]() |
isn't it nintendo turf,
OT- i've seen this site for a while now and there are plenty of nintendo users doing all sorts of things not sure why it never gets mentioned,i guess if microsoft 3rd console improves on sales then thier fans will increase too as they become even more established as a gaming franchise,i hope we are not going into territory of poor and small little microsoft and big bad sony though as this is far from the scenario

Says someone with 5,000 posts. I admit, I did laugh. Perhaps you can share in that therapy?
I've been a lot of different places on the web, looking for a site that had people I liked and an atmosphere that felt comfortable. In my experience, while I've seen some forums that held a Microsoft slant, most of them have been tilted toward Nintendo or Sony or both. On the other hand, many of the gaming "news" websites I've frequented, where the residents communicate by leaving comments to articles and blog posts, have been completely and totally ruled by Microsoft fans. The last such website I visited on a regular basis was completely pro-Microsoft, with any pro-Sony comment coming under immediate attack.
The difference, as far as I've seen with my own eyes, is that Sony and Nintendo fans, generally speaking, simply tend to be more literate.
Establishing a presence on a forum takes a certain measure of writing ability and a mindset capable of rational thought. Establishing a presence on article/comment driven website, on the other hand, requires far less of the individual. Generally speaking, they just have to be more vicious. Comments such as, "$ony is runing the indsutry lol .. the cell yeah right lol .. the P$4 is going to crash hard lol .. $ony fanboys bite me lol," are not only common-place, but accepted. On a proper forum, however, such posts would be ignore and/or ridiculed.
So, there you have it. Microsoft fans, if you're feeling out-numbered on a gaming forum, it's not really the fault of Sony or Nintendo fans. Rather, look to your bretheren who feel that "lol" is a valid form of punctuation and that reading or writing replies over 150 characters takes too long. I'm sure these websites would welcome you into their fold, though you might have to deal with people who "lol" at you because they think writing three paragraphs takes a "an hour" (which it might for them).

Could you please list these web sites? I have a hard time believeing such forums exist.
