Forums - Gaming - "The Internet is flooded by Sony fans"

You can say that about certain website but most gamers I know don't care if it is Sony or Microsoft or even Nintendo so long as it has the games they want. Which in Houston, usually means a lot of Xbox's for gamers that like sports or shooters and those that used to like RPGs or fighting games wound up getting the PS3 (although it was a hard generation for console RPG fans if they didn't convert to portables like the nation of Japan did).

They will be back. Someday, I'm sure, they will be back =(

I don't think there is any denying that Sony fans are the most vocal, especially after the ps4 was revealed to a fairly mild response by the general public. The playstation nation needed to go on the offensive quickly and once the xbox1 was revealed it needed to demonize it's competitor no matter what.

Ms fans have always been a quieter group and yes, more casual. But that hasn't stopped them from supporting the console, despite all the noise the 360 still dominates the most important gaming market.

Since gamers on the internet are core gamers and most gamers on the internet are Sony fans according to you and other Microsoft fans, then perhaps it's because most core gamers prefer Sony?

So you think casual gamers are the ones on the forums and sites? You're kidding right?

They're obviously doing something other than playing games.... ;)

Obviously Kinect fapping (joke, no hate)

Casuals don't use forums. They have facebook. I need to try out a facebook poll.

Around the Network

Nintendo Fans: "Sony Fans are all over the internet! We're outnumbered!"
Sony Fans: "Nintendo Fans are all over the internet! Plain madness!"
Microsoft Fans: ...

(According to VGC Census of 2011.)

...because there are more of them. There are 3 generations of successful Playstation consoles.

The few remaining Xbox fans are complaining that the internet is dominated by Sony fans.

The truth of the matter is that the rest of the former Xbox fans have abandoned ship and they are being grouped as Sony fans.

This is how i see it

Sony fans
- attack everyone, EVERYONE
- and are the most vocal, vicious, and not to mention hypocritical (remember when the ps3 only did everything, now the ps4 only has to play games?)

Xbox fans
- only attack sony fans/ or defending themselves
- when wrong they disappear without a trace and only re-emerge when things go right. Which explains why there seems to be so many ps fans on the interwebz right now cause all the Xbox fans are hiding.

Ninti fans

- same as Xbox

PC fans

LOL console noobs

But overall all fanboys are equally annoying, i do not understand why people have such loyalty to corp. who only care about the amount of money you can give them.

Let me understand this - the US market is the most important? No 360 fans criticize the X-One?

I have a different hypothesis - generalizations are worse than the claims being made about a specific group. I find that no set of extremist fans are "wiorse" than another. They all share similar behavior.

Yes, The US market is the single most important consumer market, and to your second question probably the same as PS3 fans that critizize the PS4.  For the most part 360 fans are very pleased with the Xbox1 just like I assume most PS3 fans are very pleased with the PS4

generalizations exists because they are the normal behavior of a group not because they differ.
